Exemplars
There are a lot of different designs and approaches you can take with this task.
The best way to proceed is make the design you choose something that is truly your own, to make something that reflects your personality or interests, and to challenge yourself.
TIP
You will learn much more by setting an ambitious target and taking a bit more time, and maybe even experiencing a bit more struggle, than if you pick a simple design that you can finish in ten minutes.
Here are some examples of designs made by former students:

Reflection prompts
- What problems did you encounter when completing this task? How did you resolve them?
- What is your knowledge and understanding of 3D printers and how they work? Have you ever used one before?

Post-print self-assessment
To complete this self-assessment, please make a new entry in Notion titled Keychain Task – Self-assessment, then complete these steps:
- Use your phone to take photos of your printed design from several angles. Add these photos to your post.
NOTE
If you do not have your phone with you, Mr. Gordon will take photos for you and then send them to you for you to add to your portfolio entry.
- Make a short screen recording where you rotate your design in Tinkercad along vertical and horizontal axes
- Respond to these prompts:
- Describe your thoughts about how the printed design compares to the design as you viewed it in Tinkercad.
NOTE
This first question is deliberately worded in an open-ended manner. Answer in whatever manner you see fit, but be sure to include at least a few sentences.
- If you had the opportunity to make a new version of your keychain tag, what would you change, and why?
